I was appointed by bespoke handmade furniture retailer Mark Elliot in September 2010 to design and carry out a complete communications strategy for the brand.
The new owners, investment firm SKG Capital tasked me with building a complete PR & marketing approach appropriate for the luxury retailer. The objective was to raise the profile of the brand through targeting a variety of local and national press.
I began by outlining a timetable for key objectives and methods for achieving them. These were based on significant research into the company, the industry and the media covering it.
The brief also included writing all the copy for the company website, adverts, marketing material and a series of press releases.
